Welcome to the site and firstly a huge thanks for joining me. My name is Dan Lake and I am the owner and founder of Bushcraft and Survival UK, I don’t just talk bushcraft I live it, I’ve spent around 8 months in total living off grid in a bell tent using and practicing bushcraft and survival skills and knowledge and have over 10 years experience in the vast subjects we call Bushcraft and Survival.

I’ve spent my whole life never knowing what I wanted to do up until recently. After suffering with a lifetime of mental health problems and finding out I’m on the autistic spectrum 2 years ago and more than likely have ADD too and always knowing that the outdoors was my real medicine, I decided to take the huge plunge of living outdoors full time. With over ten years experience i now share with you the skills and knowledge that i have learnt, plus handmade kit built in a real life wild woodland workshop.

I was thrust into this situation due to recurring domestic problems but one thing as a bushcrafter and a survivalist is that you adapt and overcome, so I decided not only to embrace wilderness living but also to make a business from it, my passion!

Here at Bushcraft and Survival UK our sole aim is to help you grow a as bushcrafter or survivalist. We aim to do this by providing you with kit you will want and the skills and knowledge you will need.

We manufacture our own equipment (coming soon) including Knives and blades, Ferro rods and Slingshots plus leather goods and carvings. We will also have various small kits and natural materials for you to purchase if you find it difficult getting into the wild enough, like tins of fatwood and pre made pine pitch, birch bark, certain fungus and also pine resin itself for you guys to play around with and help you learn.

We are also soon aiming to provide online lessons and courses, instructional PDF`S plus ZOOM lessons also coming soon.

A XL Ladle i recently made from two pieces of wood to help dig a Gypsey well to find water. These two piece are glued together with pine pitch and bound with simple jute twine. I just needed the ladle to help remove the dirt I couldn’t reach at the bottom of the well.
